Microsoft Excel World Championship · Las Vegas
Hi! I’m Gabe Sotero. I’ve competed in Excel eSports since 2022 and, for the first time, I qualified for the Microsoft Excel World Championship finals at HyperX Arena in Las Vegas, November 30–December 2.
My flight to Las Vegas is already booked. I’m raising funds for accommodation, food, and the other costs of the trip.
Every contribution helps me represent Brazil and give my best against the world’s top Excel competitors. Help get Gabe to Vegas!

Countdown to the quarterfinals on December 1, 2026, at 8:15 p.m. Las Vegas time
I’m Gabriel Sotero, known as Gabe. I’m from Rio de Janeiro, work as a data engineer at PicPay, and love a challenge.
Excel is much more than work for me. I’ve competed in Excel eSports since 2022. Wondering how an Excel competition works? Competitors solve logic and strategy challenges in spreadsheets against the clock. Watch a clip on YouTube.
In 2024, I reached the final of the first Brazilian Excel Championship. In 2025, I was runner-up. In 2026, after my third consecutive Brazilian final, I reached an even bigger milestone: qualification for the in-person World Championship finals in Las Vegas.
That qualification took study, dedication, and countless hours of practice and competition. Now I have another challenge: getting there.
I started this personal campaign to make the trip possible and represent Brazil among the world’s best. There are no intermediaries; all funds raised will go toward participation costs. Fundraising will close when the goal is reached.
The goal is approximately $1,272.93, excluding my flight, which is already booked. Funds cover accommodation first, then food, local transport and event access, and other costs. The bar updates after each payment receipt is checked.
